overnight in marrakesh

Farewell PST in Ouarzazat!

This morning, my CBT group and I took the CTM to Marrakesh. Today’s driver wasn’t very good – a lot of people felt uneasy during the ride.

Upon arrival, the newly-minted PCVs and a couple veteran PCVs had lunch in this jungle-themed restaurant. It’s always nice to meet new veteran PCVs. Afterwards, we explored the medina and soq.

There’s so much to see inside – shops, shops, and shops. Leather, weaving, metals, woods – so many textiles and artisan goods.

For dinner, myself and two of my Essa-mates at street food. It was quite an adventure navigating through the vendors, all trying to get you to their food stall.

Tashleheit is quite useful, if not amusing. Shopkeepers are so surprised when I open my mouth and a Berber language pours out. They don’t expect it at all!

Okay, more another time. It’s 1:30am. I’m excited about sleeping in tomorrow.
